Yoshinogari Furusato Fire Festival

About this event

A resident-run festival at the Yoshinogari site, built around fire as the origin of daily life and held since 1998. Daytime brings stage events and a produce market; at night anyone may join the torch procession that winds through the park, followed by a fire dance led by local junior-high students and a huge send-off fire lit by Himiko.
