About this event
The Kaisan-ki at Zojoji Temple is a solemn memorial service honoring Ryoyo Shosen, the high priest credited with establishing the temple as the formal headquarters of the Jodo sect in the Edo period. Held within the grand grounds of this historic temple near Tokyo Tower, the ceremony includes sutra chanting and traditional Buddhist rituals. A meaningful occasion to reflect on the temple's 600-year legacy at the heart of Tokyo.
