Hiei Maple Festival

About this event

An autumn-foliage festival held in the Yokawa district of Enryakuji on Mount Hiei, around the Okuhiei Driveway car park. Roughly a thousand maples colour the mountain from late October, and a local-produce market, refreshments and a daily prize draw accompany the walk up to the vermilion Yokawa Chudo hall.
