About this event
Haneda Matsuri is the annual summer festival of Haneda Shrine, famous for its unique mikoshi (portable shrine) carrying style called 'Yokota,' where bearers vigorously rock the heavy shrine from side to side. The festival fills the streets near Haneda Airport with energy as multiple mikoshi parade through the neighborhood accompanied by traditional music and spirited chanting.
