About this event
Tokyo's oldest and largest fireworks festival, dating back to the Edo period. Over 20,000 fireworks are launched from two sites along the Sumida River near Asakusa. The event draws nearly one million spectators. Best viewing spots include the Sumida Park area and rooftop terraces nearby.
