About this event
A harvest festival in Tamana, Kumamoto, recalling the days when the town prospered as a rice depot and bales were rolled down to the boats bound for Osaka. Teams race one-tonne straw bales against the clock in the Tawara Rolling Race, and carry 60 kg bales in the Rice Bale Loading Championship, with food events alongside.
