Shudan Yamami-se Float Display

The Shudan Yamami-se is a pre-race display of Hakata Gion Yamakasa festival, in which all the competing floats parade down Meiji-dori for public viewing two days before the final race. It is the best opportunity to see all the competing teams and their magnificent towering floats side by side. The streets of Hakata crackle with anticipation as crowds cheer on their favorite teams.
