About this event

One of the Kanto region's greatest float festivals and a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. Over 300 years of history, featuring magnificent floats with giant figures paraded through the historic Edo-era streets of Sawara to the sounds of traditional Sawara Bayashi music. The summer festival centers around Yasaka Shrine.
