About this event
A spectacular lantern festival at Fushimi Inari Shrine, where devotees from across Japan gather to give thanks. The eve festival (Yoimiya-sai) on July 19 features thousands of lanterns illuminating the entire shrine grounds and Mount Inari. Over 400 painted andon lanterns by worshippers are displayed throughout the shrine during both days.
