About this event
The summer purification festival at Hakozaki Shrine, one of Fukuoka top three shrines. Visitors walk through a large chinowa (reed ring) to purify themselves of misfortune from the first half of the year. Features traditional ceremonies, food stalls, and a lively summer atmosphere.
