About this event
The Sake Offering Festival at Heian Jingu is a ritual in which brewers from across Japan dedicate their finest sake to the shrine's deities. The ceremony celebrates the deep cultural bond between Shinto and the ancient craft of sake brewing. Rows of beautifully decorated wooden barrels stacked along the shrine corridors make for a striking visual spectacle.
