About this event
The Kinensai at Heian Jingu is an important spring Shinto ritual held at the vernal equinox to pray for an abundant harvest and national prosperity. The grand ceremony held at this iconic Kyoto shrine connects visitors to Japan's ancient relationship with the land and the seasons.
