Entsuin Autumn Leaves Illumination 2026

Each autumn the Zen temple Entsuin in Matsushima lights its moss garden, pond and maple grove after dark. The illuminated leaves reflect on the surface of the Shinji-ike pond, and the route continues past the Sankeiden mausoleum, an Important Cultural Property. One of the signature autumn night scenes of the Matsushima area.
