The Sorei-sha Spring Festival at Yasaka Shrine honors the ancestral spirits enshrined at the Sorei-sha (Ancestral Spirit Shrine) within the temple complex. The ceremony expresses gratitude and reverence for the protective spirits of those who have passed, as the natural world awakens in spring.
