About this event
Chichibu Night Festival is counted among Japan's three great float festivals and is held annually on December 2nd and 3rd at Chichibu Shrine in Saitama. Enormous and elaborately decorated floats called yatai and kasaboko are paraded through the streets, accompanied by traditional music and a spectacular fireworks display. This UNESCO-recognized festival transforms the winter night sky into a canvas of light and color.
