About this event
One of Kyoto's three most unusual festivals, held at Yuki Shrine in the mountain village of Kurama. From around 18:00, torches large and small light up the village streets, culminating in some 100 blazing torches gathered before Kurama-dera's Nio Gate and a mikoshi procession late at night.
