Lake Suwa Summer Night Fireworks

Every evening from late July through August (except Aug 15), approximately 800 fireworks light up the sky over Lake Suwa for about 10 minutes starting at 8:30 PM. Unlike large fireworks festivals, this nightly display can be enjoyed without crowds from the lakeside lawn. Fireworks reflecting on the calm lake surface create a magical atmosphere in the mountain-ringed basin of Nagano Prefecture.
