About this event
A festival built on the legend of Tsurutomi-hime, a Heike princess who fled to Shiiba after the clan's defeat at Dan-no-ura, and Nasu no Daihachiro, the Genji warrior sent to hunt down the survivors. The highlight is a Heian-costume procession through Kamishiiba; the Tsurutomi Residence, an Important Cultural Property, is one of the venues.
