About this event

The Autumn Foliage Special Opening at Tofuku-ji gives visitors access to normally restricted areas of the temple to enjoy its world-famous autumn colors. The iconic Tsutenkyo bridge, spanning a gorge filled with blazing red and orange maples, is the most photographed scene in all of Kyoto in autumn. This special opening period runs through November and is one of the most-visited events in the entire Kyoto autumn tourism calendar.
