The Toka Ebisu festival at Sumiyoshi Taisha celebrates Ebisu, the deity of commerce and good fortune, over several festive days in mid-January. Worshippers flock to the shrine to pray for business success and receive fukusasa (lucky bamboo branches) adorned with auspicious decorations.
