About this event
The Kanbutsu-e (Flower Festival) at Zojoji Temple celebrates the birthday of the Buddha on April 8th with a ceremony where the infant Buddha statue is bathed in sweet tea (amacha). The celebration at this central Tokyo temple combines Buddhist devotion with the joyful spirit of spring.
