About this event
The Zojoji Tanabata Festival brings the star-crossed romance of the Tanabata legend to life beneath the shadow of Tokyo Tower. The temple grounds are decorated with colorful strips of paper and bamboo branches on which visitors write their wishes. It is a warm, family-friendly celebration that blends ancient tradition with the iconic downtown backdrop of Tokyo.
