Hirosaki Castle Chrysanthemum and Autumn Foliage Festival

Held in the Hirosaki Castle Botanical Garden inside Hirosaki Park, this autumn festival showcases elaborate chrysanthemum displays and dolls against a backdrop of some 1,000 maple trees in full color. Evening illuminations light up the foliage and the castle moats, making it one of Tohoku's signature autumn events. Runs October 30 to November 8, 2026.
