Aomori Nebuta Festival 2026

Japan's most spectacular summer festival featuring enormous illuminated paper floats (nebuta) depicting warriors and mythical figures, paraded through the streets of Aomori. Energetic dancers called haneto leap alongside the floats while festival music fills the air. The finale on August 7 features a waterfront float procession with fireworks.
