About this event

One of the Tohoku Big Three festivals, featuring performers balancing towering bamboo poles adorned with paper lanterns on their palms, foreheads, shoulders, and hips. Over 280 kanto poles light up Kanto Odori street each evening, creating a sea of golden light. Designated as a National Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property.
