Held on the auspicious days of the first, fifth, and ninth months, the September edition of this Kuro Honzon Prayer Service at Zojoji is dedicated to the temple's revered Black Amida Buddha, believed to bring success and good fortune. Devotees travel from across the region to receive the sacred image's blessings on these special occasions. Senior priests lead the prayers in an atmosphere of sincere devotion.
