About this event
One of western Japan's largest fireworks competitions, held on the Yoshino River floodplain in Miyoshi. Top pyrotechnists from across Japan compete with some 20,000 shells synchronised to music, following a daytime stage programme of Awa Odori dancing and around 70 food stalls.
