Niigata's beloved winter illumination, held since 1988 and now in its 39th year. Around 200 zelkova trees along Keyaki-dori near JR Niigata Station's south exit are wrapped in some 160,000 lights, turning the avenue into a glittering tunnel. Lit nightly from dusk; free to stroll.
